Living Like a Saint in Sin City

Written by

The title caught your eye didn’t it? In case you’re wondering I don’t really believe I’m a saint, but I do truly try to live my life consciously and with intention to be better every day. I’ve started this blog because I believe that all yogi’s, teachers and practitioners alike, should share their knowledge with those around them.

I’m in my late sixties, 67 to be exact, and I feel younger and healthier than ever. Ever since I first met and started learning with Swami Venkatesananda, I have incorporated the principles that he shared with me into my life, and I try to pass them on to others. I was a fifteen year old boy in Mauritius, the small island where I grew up, when I stumbled on to his path, and since then I have been able to share my knowledge with friends, students, acquaintances’ that I’ve met in my travels all around the world. I’ve had the opportunity and privilege to promote the benefit of yoga, in many aspects beyond the physical asanas, from Mauritius to Europe to Canada and the US, the Philippines, Thailand and many more wonderful places.

Any place I go I want people to see what a better place this world can be with living positively and helping your own communities, and what better way to do this, than to share my own experiences. I hope you will join me on this journey as we explore what a wonderful world it is and can be that we live in!
