Feeling Anxious or Stressed?

You might be surprised, but I’m not a stranger to anxiety, which in today’s world, is a very common issue.

We are all constantly connected to our phones, jobs, and technology and can easily forget to reconnect with ourselves. Anxiety and stress are known to be the cause of many physical and mental issues, which I won’t focus on as I’m not a medical professional, but I always look to natural remedies when possible. I personally believe that the physical practice of yoga combined with the mental practice of meditation, give me serenity, and allow me to keep my anxiety and stress at bay.

Another thing that helps me and I have come to love, is my Tulsi tea. Tulsi as it is known in my native Mauritius, or “Holy Basil” in the west, has great benefits for the mind, body and soul. I will leave the scientific evidence for you to look up yourselves.

If you do find yourself in a stressful day or time in your life, do yourself a favour and give this powerful plant a try. You can buy supplements or tea at your local health store or online, or as I do – try growing your own plant and making your own tea. If you are in the Las Vegas area and are interested in giving this tea a try, leave me a comment below and we can arrange a meet up at one of my yoga classes!
